Small Mom/Pop Start up Company- No Human Resource Department.
Background
A first-time in business Mom/Pop bought a franchise and within a short time period became successful and hired several employees.  Before long the company had more than 20 employees without any human resource experience or resources.
Challenge
Employees calling in sick, worker’s compensation issues, Unemployment Claims, Wage and Hour questions came up and the Mom/Pop did not have a lot of extra money to hire a law firm at $350/hour.
Result
The Company hired California Employment Law Training Center, a division of Braverman Mediation & Consulting to act as the Mom/Pop shop's Human Resource Department.    California Employment Law Training Center “CAELTC” provided the company with easy to follow processes and procedures and eventually drafted a small handbook along with answering and addressing daily employment law issues.  The company paid a small monthly and affordable fee to keep CAELTC retained throughout the year and the company grew to over 50 employees and is a very successful and profitable business today.
